Spring has sprung and there are songs to be sung! That’s exactly what’s happening throughout the upper elementary music classes. Along with working on recorders, ukuleles and a variety of barred instruments, students are working on developing their singing voices through basic ear training activities two-part harmonies. Listening to those around you and learning to blend both tone and volume is a skill we will continue to address.
In our instrumental pieces the students continue to develop an understanding of how melodic and rhythmic phrases fit together as they work towards a final arrangement utilizing a variety of barred and unpitched instruments.
