It can be scary to be a turkey this time of year, given that these amazing birds are quite recognizable and the main dish at many Thanksgiving dinners. But there is hope for our feathered friends thanks to our Crestview Design Thinkers! Over the past couple of weeks, Crestview students and teachers have been busy designing disguises for our turkeys. Using a variety of supplies, our community members have come up with either creative costumes for their turkeys or scenes in which the turkeys blend in with the surroundings.
This project called upon students and teachers to empathize with their turkeys, ideate and plan their disguises, purchase (using Design Thinking currency) and use materials economically, and finish their projects by the deadline. Thanks to their creativity, the Crestview community has given our turkeys a fighting chance to celebrate Thanksgiving—even if it's in disguise!
