Fifth Grade

Writing an opinion or persuasive piece involves expressing your thoughts and beliefs on a topic in a clear and organized manner. Students not only show off their writing abilities but also feel empowered to express themselves with confidence. Crestview fifth graders have been brainstorming, gathering evidence from texts to support their claims, outlining their pieces, and writing their first drafts for the topic, “Did Goldilocks commit a crime?” With the revision process, that includes providing constructive feedback to peers that is used for final drafts, they will present their claims in the fifth grade courtroom.
