It’s fall and the weather is brisk and breezy, which translates to “Winter Concert prep time!” Our instrument-playing musicians in the Advanced and Beginning Bands, as well as the Strings Ensemble, are honing their skills and sharpening their eyes for interpreting the concert music. As serious as this sounds, these young musicians do get some time to be creative, and in the case of the Advanced Band, they sometimes bring in their own music to try out in class. This “free-time” happens from 7:55 a.m. through 8:05 a.m. After that interval, we get to work!
