Our fifth grade students have set sail on a thrilling voyage as they dive into our unit on Early European Explorers. The study of Early European Explorers is an essential part of our history curriculum. Throughout the unit, our young historians will delve into the life stories of explorers. Students will learn what motivated them to sail across treacherous seas, and map unknown lands. Our students will also examine the impact of exploration on indigenous cultures. Fifth graders will continue to hone their research and public speaking skills when they prepare and deliver presentations on their favorite explorers, which will showcase their accomplishments, challenges, and impact on history.
