This time of year is so bittersweet for us all! The first graders will say “see you later” to their teachers and some of their classmates. However, through all of this, they will always have a long-lasting connection with their Fourth Grade Buddies. This year, the classes were encouraged to really get to know their buddies and become mentors for one another. The teachers incorporated Crestview’s core values of Community, Responsibility, Empathy, Sincerity, and Thinking (CREST) into everything they did together. With that in mind, they spent the year participating in activities that challenged their design thinking, building character to embrace those challenges with a growth mindset, all while having fun together. They LOVE their Buddies and they’ll see them in second and fifth grade!
