In social studies, the second graders completed their studies on ways of living. Students had insightful reading experiences and discussions about elements of culture, immigrants, holidays, traditions and family ancestry. Students created personal timelines of important events in their life along with building beautiful family trees that we hope they will cherish as a family keepsake. “The world’s a lovely place to be because we are a family,” by Mary Ann Hoberman, from the poem, “Our Family.”
