Did you know there are sharks in the rainforest that make their own salt? Did you know that the Toucan’s giant bill is super light and spider monkeys swallow fruit whole? The second graders are learning about these unbelievable animals that live in the rainforest. Students are developing research skills while working on the computer. In addition, they are highlighting important facts about their animals they read about and finally, students are learning to organize this information into coherent sentences to create non-fiction animal reports.
