Library

This month across the grade levels we have been exploring the essential question of: Why do authors write books and how do we as readers interpret what they are trying to say with their stories? We have been reading and sharing books centered on the themes of gratitude, giving and creative problem solving.

The focus for the upper grades has been on practicing and refining their call number and library location skills through a variety of games and scavenger hunts as we explore the essential question of: How can I become an effective user of the library and how does my understanding of library organization effect how I access, evaluate and use information?

We have also been taking advantage of the cooler and cloudy weather to cuddle up with a good book in cozy corners of the library and read by flashlight. Always a favorite!
