Our fourth grade students are honing their video creation and editing skills and becoming the creators of their own content. Currently, they are working on a stop-motion animation video. Students were tasked to write their own scripts with two characters of their choice. Each story included an intro, plot, character development, and conclusion. Students then created characters out of salt dough, waited for them to dry, and added color. Next, students created backdrops and started taking pictures to piece them together. The class discussed how to angle the position of each object and how to make small movements throughout the photo-taking process. The final step will require students to record a voiceover narration to go along with their video. We can’t wait for the final product!
