Music with Ms. Contreras

As the fourth, fifth and sixth graders continue progressing on their musical journeys, the biggest news is that we can finally do a bit of careful singing! Whether wearing a mask or maintaining a social distance, hearing the students’ voices for the first time on campus is truly a joyful sound. For the fifth grade, this is especially exciting as we have begun learning a traditional ballad from Colonial America to add to their upcoming Living History Day event. It also answers the neverending question, “Will we be able to sing with our ukuleles?” Happy to finally say, “Yes!”
