Last week, our First Grade Citizens exercised their right to vote! Our inspiration came from reading Duck for President by Doreen Coronin and Betsy Lewin. Tough decisions were made as we brainstormed the pros and cons between the two candidates for the presidency, Duck and Farmer Brown! The students registered to vote and created campaign signs. Finally, we put our trust in the democratic process and voted for our next president! The winner with a resounding majority was DUCK, and no recounts were needed!
