People of Crestview

Education is built on relationships. The character of our school and the quality of the Crestview experience for our students is dependent on the many people who make up our community.

The Students

Crestview students are simply great kids. They come in all shapes and sizes, colors and creeds, with a wonderful mix of talents and gifts. Our students are not defined by their test scores but rather by their character and how they utilize their talents and gifts. Crestview students find academic success because they are curious, engaged students with the willingness to work hard and persevere. Crestview students are an accepting community of friends because they are empathetic, helpful, and kind, making room for differences while holding high expectations for all. Finally, Crestview students are imaginative and engaged, creating a wonderful spirit in the school.
The Faculty and Staff
The faculty and staff are the heart of a Crestview education. As a group, they bring to the school and our students a wonderful combination of the wisdom of experience with the enthusiasm of youth. They share a deep passion for both children and education. Under the faculty's loving guidance, Crestview students experience a rich, developmentally appropriate yet challenging program within a supportive, caring learning environment that encourages taking risks and accepts mistakes as part of the learning and growing process.
The Board of Trustees
As a not-for-profit incorporation, Crestview Preparatory School is governed by a board of elected trustees who serve the school on a voluntary basis. Board members include current and past parents as well as community friends of the school. These volunteers bring the wisdom and expertise of their varied experiences in business, law, health services, education, real estate, community involvement, and finance to their role as the stewards of the school, its mission, and its future.
Crestview Parent Association - The Rocket Boosters of Crestview
The Crestview Parent Association is the official booster organization for Crestview Preparatory School. The Association organizes and supports various activities and services to enrich the experience of the Crestview community. Programs benefiting students, teachers, staff and parents are made possible by the fund-raising and volunteer efforts of the Association. The work of the Association's "Rocket Boosters" is vital to the spirit of community within the school families.

Association meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month. All parents are invited to attend these meetings and are encouraged to serve on planning committees and volunteer at various events in and out of school.

Association President, Julie Park, can be reached at rocketboosters@crestviewprep.org.

The Alumni
Crestview Preparatory School is extremely proud of our graduates. Crestview is both their foundation and their launching pad for the rest of their academic career and for life. When they leave here our graduates have a reputation for having a strong academic foundation, an empathy for others, and strong commitment to their community.

As each Crestview class prepares for their high school graduation six short years after leaving Crestview, they gather again as a class to share fond memories of their elementary years and their experiences in secondary school. It is a wonderful celebration of who they have become and, sometimes, how little they have changed. With the close friends of their childhood, they reveal their dreams for college and the future.

Each year a Crestview graduate, now on their own with the long perspective of Crestview's role in their life, is invited back to address the sixth grade class at their graduation. The stories and advice of someone who has gone before them play an important part in this rite of passage.

The Crestview Connection, the school newsletter, shares the current news about graduates and where life has taken them. Alumni are invited to stay in contact through Ms. Trina Capka in our development office or email at alumni@crestviewprep.org.
