Giving FAQ

It is our hope that all members of our community will choose to support Crestview at a level that is both meaningful and comfortable.

What is the annual Crestview Fund?

The Crestview Fund is an annual campaign and our top fundraising priority. Each fall, we reach out to our community and invite them to participate in this opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to our school.

What is a "tuition gap" and why does it exist?

Every effort is made to keep Crestview's tuition affordable for our families. A "tuition gap" is the difference between tuition and the true cost to educate a student. Our annual tuition is approximately $ 3,500 per student less than the actual cost of the education at Crestview.

How much should I donate to the Crestview Fund?

Crestview Fund gifts to the School can range in size from $50 to $100,000. All gifts, regardless of size, help us cover operating costs and plan for future improvements to our programs. We expect that parents will make Crestview their highest philanthropic priority while their children are students here.

Who will be solicited for the Crestview Fund?

We will ask current and alumni parents, alumni, grandparents, trustees, faculty and staff to support Crestview from October through April each year.  If you are or have been a member of the Crestview community, we will ask for your support.

When does the Crestview Fund end?

We are asking that our community make their commitment in the fall; some families choose to make a pledge now and fulfill it in the spring. Once a commitment or gift has been made, we will count the family's participation for their class.

Are Crestview Fund gifts tax deductible?

While tuition is not tax-deductible, voluntary gifts to the Crestview Fund are. Crestview Preparatory School is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization under the Federal Internal Revenue Code. All contributions to the Crestview Fund are deductible pursuant to the prevailing tax laws.
